“We never got to experience the beautiful wedding weekend we had planned in Guadalajara, so we decided to do something different,” the couple said.
A Chicago couple is giving away their wedding plans in Mexico after cartel violence got in the way of their own nuptials.
Kaity and Robbie Morris were forced to abandon their perfect three-day wedding plans in Guadalajara, Mexico, after the United States Department of State issued shelter-in-place warnings for Americans at several popular tourist destinations in late February.
While they were ultimately able to pull together a gorgeous last-minute wedding in Chicago with the help of people who came across their story on social media, the couple didn’t want the beautiful ceremony they’d planned in Mexico to go to waste. So, Kaity and Robbie decided to give away their entire wedding weekend to one lucky couple.
