On Thursday, March 12, Claudia Ivette Rodríguez Hernández was murdered. She was the local president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in the municipality of Ometepec, Guerrero.
The death of the woman, who was also a PRI leader in the Costa Chica region of Guerrero, was confirmed by Manuel Añorve, the PRI coordinator in the Senate.
“I condemn the cowardly murder of Claudia Ivette Rodríguez Estrada, PRI leader in the Costa Chica region of Guerrero,” the PRI senator posted.
The official asked the authorities to expedite the investigation so that the case would not go unpunished. “We demand a thorough investigation and immediate results from the authorities. This crime cannot go unpunished.”
Claudia Ivette had also served as the municipal commissioner of the community of Milpillas.
The State Steering Committee (CDE) of the PRI political party in Guerrero strongly condemned the murder of comrade Claudia Ivette Rodríguez Hernández, sectional president of that party in the municipality of Ometepec.
