It has been circulating on social media, such as Facebook, X, and YouTube, that Laisha Oseguera González, the daughter of El Mencho, was arrested in California, although no well-established media outlet has corroborated this information.
Laisha Michelle Oseguera González, the youngest daughter of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho,” was arrested in March 2026 during an operation in California, United States.
Oseguera González managed a coffee shop called “El Rincón de la Chulis” (or “El Rincón La Chulis”), located in a shopping center in Perris, California. The establishment offered items such as horchata lattes, chilaquiles, and crepes, projecting the image of a family business.
U.S. authorities, including the DEA and the FBI, link the establishment to money laundering operations for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Witnesses and reports describe a raid involving helicopters and armed agents to dismantle what they consider a financial arm of the cartel on U.S. soil.
Laisha is the 24-year-old daughter of “El Mencho” and Rosalinda González Valencia. Her husband, Cristian Fernando Gutiérrez Ochoa, alias “El Guacho,” is also identified as a key figure in the cartel’s structure and has faced legal proceedings in the U.S.
Previously, in 2021, Laisha had obtained legal protections in Mexico (amparos) that prevented her arrest at that time after she was linked to the kidnapping of two marines in Jalisco.
