The organizing committee of the XX Mexican Congress and the IV International Congress of Bananas and Plantains announced the rescheduling of the meeting for May 27, 28, and 29, with the aim of strengthening its scope and guaranteeing better results in the academic and commercial purposes of the sector. The headquarters remain in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, specifically at the International Convention Center, where producers, researchers, and companies will analyze the central theme: Innovation and resilience to climate change.

The program includes specialized conferences, a commercial exhibition area, and business linkage spaces, focused on the comprehensive management of pests and diseases, technological advances, and strategies to strengthen the competitiveness and exports of the crop.

As a novelty, the participation of the shipping company Ocean Network Express will be integrated for the first time, which will present controlled atmosphere solutions applicable to banana transport, expanding the focus towards international logistics.

The organizing committee is headed by Gilberto Quiróz Hernández, Pedro Sandoval Mendoza, and Iván Merchant, while the scientific committee brings together specialists linked to national and international organizations in phytosanitary and agricultural research matters.

With this rescheduling, the congress reaffirms its role as the main technical and commercial forum of the banana sector in Mexico, by promoting more sustainable practices and greater articulation between producers, academia, and industry.
