Attention Mexicans, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) confirmed a mega power outage scheduled for this Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14, 2026 in municipalities in the states of Sinaloa, Yucatán, and Querétaro due to repair and maintenance work. Power outage in Sinaloa
The CFE reported that due to a maintenance and modernization plan for the electrical infrastructure, dozens of Sinaloa residents will be left without electricity this Friday, February 13, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The effects are for these neighborhoods:
- San Pedro de Ures
- The Sauz
- Guadalupe de Ures
- San Rafael
Power outages in the neighborhoods of Querétaro
The Federal Electricity Commission reported that on Saturday, February 14, power outages are expected in several neighborhoods of Querétaro due to maintenance work. The scheduled hours are from 11:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day until 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 15. The affected neighborhoods are:
- Los Cues Expansion
- The Colorado
- The Rosary
- FINSA (Industrial Park)
- Garambullo
- La Loma
- La Pietà
- Miranda
- Bernardo Quintana Park
- San Antonio La Galera
Neighborhoods that are left without electricity in Yucatan
Dozens of families will be left without electricity this Friday, February 13, 2026, in Yucatan. The event will last approximately five hours, the scheduled schedule is from 9:30 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon, in these neighborhoods:
- Tecoh
- Acanceh
- Police stations near both municipalities
CFE issues recommendations for power outages
The Federal Electricity Commission recommended:
- Unplug electronic devices and appliances 20 minutes before power cuts.
- Keep the refrigerator closed to prevent damage.
- Have candles and rechargeable batteries (as far as possible).
- Have flashlights or rechargeable emergency lights.
- Generators should be kept outdoors and away from windows.
- Keep cell phones charged in case of any emergency.
