According to Fernie Ortiz from Border Report, cleaning products that are popular in households along the border could soon be pulled from shelves.
The Environmental Protection Agency is cracking down on unregistered pesticides that can be found in various cleaning products that claim to kill bacteria, viruses, and microbes.
According to a news release, the EPA issued “Stop Sale, Use, or Removal Orders” following inspections at marketplaces in Houston and San Antonio.
“When you go to the store to buy antibacterial cleaners, you expect them to be safe and not pose a danger to you and your family,” said Scott Mason, Regional EPA Administrator. “This action demonstrates EPA’s unwavering commitment to protecting American families from the sales of illegal pesticides.” As MAHA wages war on pesticides, the GOP is caught in the middle
Many of the products that prompted the stop-sale order are made in Mexico, Pakistan, or Vietnam, and due in part to pesticidal claims made on their labels, are considered pesticides under federal law.
