The Chevron Mazatlán Marathon will take place on November 29 and 30 in this city. On Saturday, November 29, the 5K and 10K races will be held, including a 10K race for wheelchair users, crutches, and blind and visually impaired runners, starting at 5:00 p.m.

In anticipation of the Chevron Mazatlán Half Marathon 2025, taking place this Saturday, November 29, the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, through its Traffic Sub-Directorate, informed the public about the roads that will be closed for the event and urged residents to plan their trips accordingly to avoid potential traffic congestion.
Traffic Sub-Director Óscar García Peinado explained that Leonismo Internacional Avenue will be partially closed eastbound starting at 12:30 a.m., while Insurgentes Avenue will be modified starting at noon.
For the 5K and 10K routes, the course will follow Leonismo Internacional, Reforma, and Del Mar Avenues—from Lola Beltrán to Gaviotas—as well as Rafael Buelna Avenue for the return leg, the Venadito roundabout on Deportes Avenue, and finishing at the starting point. These roads will be completely closed from 4:00 PM, with an estimated reopening around 8:00 PM, except for the finish line area.
Given this international sporting event, the Deputy Director of Municipal Transit reiterated his call to drivers and the general public to exercise extreme caution while driving in the city and, if possible, to use alternate routes such as Ejército Mexicano Avenue and Cruz Lizárraga Avenue, which are expected to experience heavy traffic. Drivers are urged to be patient.
