The route, operated by Volaris, will begin service on March 29, 2026, but tickets can already be purchased online for just 29 pesos + airport taxes.

Mazatlán, November 27, 2025 – Starting March 29, 2026, the Mazatlán-Guadalajara route will begin operating, served by Volaris with three weekly flights: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, stated that Mazatlán has established itself as one of the most attractive destinations on the Mexican Pacific coast thanks to its wide range of tourist, cultural, and culinary offerings, as well as its growing economic activity in sectors such as fishing, commerce, and services.

“We are very pleased to announce that starting March 29th, we have the Mazatlán-Guadalajara route, so we now have connectivity with the three main cities of the 2026 World Cup: Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara,” she stated.

The state official added that, although operations are still a few months away, tickets are already on sale.

“This is a highly demanded route, and we have been working on it all year. I take this opportunity to thank Volaris for their confidence, as well as our friends at OMA, who have been part of these negotiations. This route has been very popular, given the significant demand. Many Sinaloans travel to Guadalajara frequently for business, industry, economic, university, and health reasons, and of course, this will directly benefit tourism in the port city. That is why it is so important for the destination of Mazatlán and for the entire state of Sinaloa,” she pointed out.

Ricardo Dueñas, CEO of OMA, commented that this new route strengthens Mazatlán by expanding its national connectivity.

“This new route is part of OMA’s strategy to expand connections between the Pacific and Western regions, strengthening the network that drives tourism and economic growth in Mazatlán,” he emphasized.

In this way, Volaris, an airline that operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, strengthens its national expansion and connectivity strategy by linking two of the main economic and tourism centers in western Mexico.

Since arriving in the city, Volaris has transported more than 89 million passengers and currently operates 54 routes connecting to 48 destinations, strengthening air connectivity in western Mexico and contributing to the region’s tourism and economic development.

“With this new route, we are reinforcing our commitment to customers in Guadalajara and Mazatlán by offering them more travel options at affordable prices and with connections that allow them to reunite with loved ones, conduct business, or enjoy an unforgettable vacation,” said Jorge Roberto García Rojas, Director of Distribution, Market Development, and Cargo at Volaris.

Guadalajara is one of Volaris’s most important hubs. From this base, the airline operates the largest number of international destinations in the country, primarily to the United States, as well as Costa Rica and Canada.
