Mazatlán Secures Year-Round Flight from Calgary, Canada

Mazatlán, Sinaloa –(October 29, 2025).- Mazatlán is increasing its international connectivity with a year-round flight from Calgary, announced Gilberto Avilés, Director of the Flight Committee for the Mazatlán Hotel and Tourism Association.

He stated that this is one of the achievements of the Fiesta Amigos and anticipates a strong winter season for the destination.

“We have increased connectivity with Canada; we will have a year-round flight from Calgary. This is one of the achievements of the Fiesta Amigos,” he said.

On October 26, WestJet began winter operations from Calgary, Canada, with frequent flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

He indicated that the forecast for the peak international tourism season shows good reservations from Canada and the United States, although the latter is still in the last minute.

Gilberto Avilés added that they are also in negotiations with OMA to increase domestic connectivity, primarily to the Bajío region, León, and western Mexico, with Guadalajara.

“We are in talks with Volaris, Viva Aerobús, and Aeroméxico. The idea is to connect the Bajío region through the León airport and western Mexico with Guadalajara,” he stated.

Currently, Mazatlán has domestic connections to Chihuahua, La Paz, Los Cabos, Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, Monterrey, Mexico City, and Felipe Ángeles International Airport.

In addition to direct routes from Canada; Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Kelowna, Regina and Montreal and from the United States Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston.
