The discovery was made during security patrols in the state of Chihuahua.
In compliance with the Mexican Government’s National Security Strategy, in the state of Chihuahua, members of the National Guard, in coordination with the Mexican Army, the Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office, and the Ministry of Public Security, seized 12 pickup trucks, 9 of which were reported stolen and 3 of which were homemade armored vehicles.
During security and crime prevention patrols in the Moris municipality, Chihuahua, federal government personnel observed 12 vehicles parked illegally on the side of the road.
With the appropriate security measures in place, perimeter security was established, and upon consulting official records, they verified that 9 of the 12 vehicles were reported stolen, and three of them were homemade armored vehicles.
The vehicless, which could be valued at approximately 15 million pesos in total, were handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
The National Guard, the Mexican Army, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Chihuahua, and the Ministry of Public Security reaffirm their commitment to safeguarding the well-being of citizens and working with the Government of Mexico to ensure peace and security for the population.
