Violent clashes in Jalisco leave three dead soldiers

The municipality of Casimiro Castillo is located in the southwest of the state of Jalisco.

Clashes between National Guard members and armed civilians were reported this Wednesday, March 19th, in the town of Lo Arado in the municipality of Casimiro Castillo, Jalisco.

Likewise, roads in the municipalities of Villa Purificación, Autlán, La Huerta, and Cuautitlán de García were blocked with burning vehicles, presumably to prevent authorities from entering the area where ​​the clash took place.

The death toll reported so far is three soldiers killed and three wounded, with no fatalities reported by armed civilians.

Consequently, local authorities are asking the population to remain indoors, while classes have been suspended in many schools.
