Mazatlán welcomes two cruise ships bringing an economic impact of 18 million pesos to the port

On Wednesday, March 19, two cruise ships arrived in Mazatlán with more than 11,000 passengers and crew, expected to generate an economic impact exceeding 18 million pesos.

The Norwegian Bliss arrived from Cabo San Lucas with 4,457 passengers and 1,630 crew members. According to its schedule, it will leave the port at 6:00 PM to head to Puerto Vallarta.

An hour later, the Discovery Princess arrived from Cabo San Lucas with 4,145 passengers and 1,357 crew members. It will set sail for Los Angeles, California, at 6:00 PM.

During their stay, cruise passengers toured the Historic Center, the Malecón, the Golden Zone, and the various attractions of the city and the rural area, significantly boosting demand for services.

Merchants and tourism service providers point out that the arrival of these ships represents a significant economic boost for Mazatlán, especially during the pre-Easter season.

From March 1st to 19th, 10 vessels have arrived, bringing the total number of vessels so far this year to 31 with 120,000 passengers and 41,000 crew members, generating an economic impact of 197 million pesos.
