Mazatlán closed 2024 with the mobilization of 1,868,817 national and international passengers at the Rafael Buelna International Airport, which represents an increase of 15.2 percent compared to 2023.

According to statistics from the Centro Norte Airport Group (OMA), the flow of national passengers in 2024 was 1 million 497 thousand 693, compared to 1 million 289 thousand 545 in 2023, which represents an increase of 16.1 percent; While in the case of international passengers, the number last year was 371,124, and in 2023 it was 332,195, with an increase of 11.7 percent.

In December, 169,095 national and international passengers arrived in Mazatlán to join the 1,699,722 counted from January to November.

The municipal president, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, indicated that according to information from OMA, the number of national and international passengers at the end of 2024 was 1,868,817, while in 2023 there were 1,621,740.

“For this winter season, the temporary international flights Mazatlán-Los Angeles and Mazatlán-Minneapolis were added, both operated by Delta,” she said.

The mayor stressed that in coordination with the Sinaloa Tourism Secretariat, a tourism promotion campaign is being prepared, which will strengthen and promote tourism arriving by air to the city, with special emphasis on attracting domestic flights, without neglecting international flights.
