Unstoppable violence in Tabasco: lemon businessman and former councilman, Mario Peralta Jiménez, was killed.

According to witnesses, after the businessman arrived at the subdivision, the criminals caught up with him and snatched the bag with the withdrawn money, then shot him at point-blank range.

On Thursday afternoon, the former councilman of Centro, Tabasco, Mario Peralta Jiménez, was shot dead. Armed men were pursuing him on a motorcycle after making a bank withdrawal.

The events occurred in the vicinity of the Jardines del Country subdivision, in the Tabasco capital, while the victim was driving a compact vehicle.

Mario Peralta was a PRI councilman during the administration of the former mayor of Centro, Jesús Alí de la Torre. He is currently a businessman dedicated to selling lemons harvested on his family’s ranches. He previously owned a café in the city of Villahermosa.

According to witnesses, after the businessman arrived at the subdivision, the criminals caught up with him and snatched the bag with the money he had taken, the amount of which is unknown at this time, and then shot him at point-blank range.

Social media users shared images of the victim, as well as the attackers, who fled on a motorcycle.

So far, the Tabasco authorities have not commented on these events. However, the area of ​​the homicide was cordoned off for the removal of the body and the start of the respective investigation file.
