It is designed for users, Mexicans or foreigners, who regularly enter Mexico accompanied by their pets, regardless of the country of origin*
It does not apply to domestic and export flights
*For the USA and Canada, it is not necessary to register, since it is not required to present documents to process the Zoosanitary Certificate for Importation (which is issued for the entry of dogs and cats into national territory)

Registration to the PMVF is done online through the Tourist Certification System (CERTUR)
To register your pet, you must digitize:
Certificate of good health with letterhead and the ID number of the Veterinarian who issued it (it will be valid for 6 months, and it will not be necessary to process it for each entry into Mexican territory, until its completion (validity)
Current rabies vaccine (it will be valid for 1 or 3 years, depending on what is specified by the veterinarian)
Internal and external deworming (it will be valid for 6 months)
Recent photo of your pet (JPG)
Copy of the professional ID or equivalent of the Veterinarian who issued the Certificate of Good Health
Note: The Certificate of Good Health, when the procedure is carried out through the Tourist Certification System, must not exceed 15 days from its date of issue.
Later, you can capture the general data of your pet and attach the documentation in PDF format. The files must not exceed 5 megabytes.
Renewal
Submit a new certificate of good health (it must not be more than 15 calendar days old)
Proof of current internal and external deworming*
Current rabies vaccine* (only in case the one presented to register with the PMVF is no longer valid)
*In the case of the rabies vaccine and deworming, these may be described in the Health Certificate or Vaccination Card
User registration, national or foreign
Enter the Tourist Certification System (CERTUR), where you must enter the following data:
Name
Date of birth
Official identification of the applicant
CURP (Not necessary for foreign users)
Country (only foreigners)
State
Address
Contact information (phone number and email)
In the second owner section, you can register another person to accompany your pet
When entering the data and attaching the documents you must select “send the “application” for registration
If you meet all the requirements, your application will be approved and you must present your pet at the Agricultural Health Inspection Office (OISA) that you indicated in your application, for a brief physical inspection along with the documentation that you uploaded to the system (original and copy)
If everything is okay, you will be given the PMVF with which you can enter the country with your pet
If your application has any requirements, you will have an opportunity to resolve them
If your application is rejected, you must generate a new application
You must contact the Senasica staff located at the OISA at your point of entry to the country so that they can carry out the physical inspection of your pet and you must present your PMVF.
