On the morning of Friday, November 22, the charred bodies of four people were found in the municipality of Cuautla, located in the eastern region of the state, in addition to two posters with threatening messages.
Around 4 a.m. this Friday, the Emergency System received a call from neighbors who reported the discovery on Pesebres Street on the corner of Miguel Hidalgo in the Gabriel Tepepa neighborhood.
Paramedics and municipal police went to the site and confirmed that the victims were charred and that one of them had been dismembered.
After cordoning off the crime scene, they reported that there were at least five spent shell casings.
Experts and investigative agents from the eastern region prosecutor’s office arrived at the scene to carry out the removal of the bodies and begin the investigation.
Elements of the National Guard also went to reinforce the operations to search for the alleged perpetrators.
Cuautla is one of the municipalities with the most violent incidents in the state, where cases of extortion, kidnappings, and homicides have increased alarmingly.
On Thursday, November 21st, Morelos Governor Margarita González Saravia was in Cuautla to inaugurate works with Mayor Rodrigo Arredondo. One of them was the expansion of the Mexico-Oaxaca highway, just a few minutes from where the charred bodies were found on Friday, November 22.
