It was with more than 2 thousand bullets of 50 caliber armor-piercing that they riddled an alleged criminal in Mazatlán
More than 2 thousand bullets were fired in the pursuit and execution of the man in the white Jeep Cherokee truck, in the Real del Valle subdivision, in Mazatlán on Sunday, October 27.
The objective of the heavily armed group was the subject, still unidentified, who was apparently alone in the truck.
Because of the armor, the pursuit and shooting extended through several neighborhoods. They could not penetrate the ‘hard’ truck.
According to the report, to achieve their goal, the criminals used Barret caliber .50 armor-piercing rifles, leaving more than 2 thousand spent shells scattered in the streets.
The Jeep Cherokee truck had Puebla license plates. Meanwhile, the body of the man who was practically unrecognizable due to the bullets, and who is only known to have been wearing a black shirt, was removed by the authorities for legal identification and to be handed over to his family.
In the same area of the shooting, police located another damaged vehicle, a firearm, several shells, a charger, and a cell phone.
Collateral victim
A man who works as a taxi driver was working and when he arrived at the Real del Valle subdivision he felt injured. He had been hit by a stray bullet. Fortunately, he was taken to a hospital in Mazatlán and is reported stable.
The investigation is being handled by the Attorney General of Sinaloa.
