Cuen was killed on the farm where “El Mayo” was “kidnapped”, and the robbery at the gas station was a “set-up”: FGR

The Attorney General’s Office reported that the blood found in the truck related to the events is not Cuen’s but Rodolfo “C”, alleged collaborator of “El Mayo”

Culiacán, Sin. The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) fully confirmed this Sunday that the former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), Hector Melesio Cuen Ojeda, was killed on the Huertos del Pedregal farm where the alleged kidnapping of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada would have taken place and that the version of the robbery at the gas station and the video that was presented publicly, which it even described as a “set-up”, is completely ruled out.

In a statement, the federal agency detailed that blood traces were found on the farm, which have been determined with complete precision by federal forensic units to correspond to Cuen Ojeda.

It indicated that through these blood traces, the Federal Public Ministry (MP) established the time of his murder, and it is confirmed that it occurred many hours before the events shown in the video of a gas station broadcast locally, which had already been disqualified by the FGR itself.

Likewise, it pointed out that in the bed of the vehicle that was used in the “setup” of the gas station, human blood was found but this does not correspond to Cuen but to Rodolfo “C”, currently missing and who was referred to as a member of Ismael Zambada’s security team.

Also, a clear and precise video was obtained of what was confessed by Cuen Ojeda’s driver, who denies what he himself had previously declared to local authorities, regarding various moments of the disappearance and death of the former rector.

All of the above, the FGR pointed out, confirms the ministerial and police investigations that determined the alleged criminal and administrative responsibilities of police officers, public prosecutors, experts, and various personnel of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sinaloa, who have already been thoroughly investigated regarding their participation in this case.

The FGR indicated that since there is a situation of rejection by a Federal Judge of Culiacán, to know and determine the apprehension of those responsible, the MP of the Federation will present in the next few days, before an alternative judge, all the evidence and proceedings that are appropriate.

On the other hand, the federal agency highlighted that in all these events the direct connection of Joaquín Guzmán López is confirmed, who was also arrested in the United States on July 25, and who has been speculated could have kidnapped “El Mayo” Zambada to take him to the neighboring country against his will.
