Regarding private universities, Tecnológico de Monterrey ranked second in Latin America

Tecnológico de Monterrey reaffirmed its position as number 4 among the best universities in Latin America, and number 1 in Mexico according to the QS World University Rankings: Latin America and The Caribbean 2025.

Regarding private universities, Tecnológico de Monterrey ranked second in Latin America.

This year, 14 new universities were added to the ranking, bringing the total number of participating institutions to 437, of which 63 are Mexican.

Reaffirming our position in the 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings: Latin America and The Caribbean reflects our commitment as a university of excellence,” said Feniosky Peña-Mora, executive vice president of Research at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

“We are proud that thanks to the efforts of the Tec community we continue to create knowledge and innovative solutions that transform realities,” he said.

This ranking evaluates 8 indicators: Employer reputation, Academic reputation, Citations for research articles, Student-to-professor ratio, International research network, PhD staff, Research articles per professor, and Web impact. In total, the institution registered a score of 95.9 points this year.

The Employer Reputation indicator continues to be the best rated for the Institution in this ranking, occupying the number 4 position in Latin America and representing 20 percent of the evaluation. This result is thanks to the impact of the EXATEC community, which has obtained international recognition for its contribution in various sectors.
