The inventor of Micheladas is Don Michel Ésper and the famous mix that we all know and have tasted was created in a sports club in San Luis Potosí at a meeting of friends.
Don Michel was bored of the same taste of beer, so it came to his mind to add lemon and various sauces to slowly give it the unparalleled taste that conquered the palate of Mexicans, a drink that was christened as Michelada. Thank you and Cheers Don Michel!
One of the drinks preferred by adults at parties, meetings, weekends, in restaurants or simply prepared at home, is micheladas, an extremely popular drink among those who like to mix their beer, but did you know that this drink was invented by a genius in San Luis Potosi.
That’s right, the michelada is one of the most popular and requested drinks throughout Mexico, but many ignore its history and where it came from. One of the most accepted and widespread versions indicates that the inventor of this Sunday drink was Michel Esper, originally from San Luis Potosí.
Beer, lemon juice, salt and chili.
According to the Miche Mix website, it indicates that Don Michel Esper regularly went to a sports club to play tennis with friends and acquaintances, who one day asked his bartender to mix the juice of a lemon, Worcestershire sauce, and beer in a frosty glass with chili and salt, known as “Chabela”.
