Heavily armed men murdered a subject identified as Humberto Domínguez Obrador, whom the local press identifies as a relative of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Chiapas reported, in a press release, that it became aware of this crime through the report of the municipal police, which informed it that on the morning of Wednesday, June 26, in the Nueva Esperanza 1 ejido section, in the city of Palenque, Chiapas, two males had been injured by gunshot wounds.

The first versions suggest that people on a motorcycle had opened fire near the Nueva Esperanza ejido when they were traveling on the Villahermosa-Escárcega federal highway, aboard a brown Ford Ranger truck.

The Prosecutor’s Office explained that agents of the investigative police assigned to the Selva District Prosecutor’s Office found Humberto’s lifeless body inside the vehicle, which had several gunshot wounds, and at the entrance to the ejido, Osiel, who had injuries caused by a firearm, for which he was taken to a hospital.

Humberto also known by the nickname of “El Becerro” (Calf), was threatened in April through a piece of cardboard, which was left nailed to the corpse of an executed person.
