A TikTok user documented the emergence of a waterhole in the Mayan portal, in Playa del Carmen. This is the second recent case that has occurred in the state of Quintana Roo. Last week the same phenomenon was reported, but in Cozumel.
On June 24, TikToker Chacho Rivera shared the video of the emergence of a waterhole in Playa del Carmen. According to his testimony, the fresh water of the cenotes was gushing from stones under the sea.
In the same footage, you can see that small outbreaks of groundwater also occurred at other points on the same beach. It was sprouting from some stones under the sea.
A whole spectacle is being lived in several places of Quintana Roo, due to the appearance of the so-called Eyes of Water along the beaches in Playa del Carmen, Mexican city, capital of the municipality of Solidaridad.

The images are spectacular and hundreds of people have come to observe this phenomenon.
The most important case of this phenomenon occurred in Cozumel a few days ago, where several eyes of water appeared on the island’s malecon.
