“Outside the Andares shopping mall, two subjects were reported injured after a direct attack in Jalisco. The events occurred on the Puerta de Hierro boulevard and Paseo Andares, in the Puerta de Hierro neighborhood of Zapopan, Jalisco, just outside the flowerbeds of the Andares plaza.
Reports of shooting began to arrive at the Zapopan police station, and officers immediately moved to the scene where they confirmed the presence of a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back.
The man said he was leaving the Andares shopping mall when he was attacked by a man on a motorcycle who fled the scene. Inside the restaurant “La Docena”, they found another man sheltered with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, the security coordinator of Jalisco, confirmed the events through social networks, where he said that the two people were injured. Both were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment, as both are reported to be conscious after the attack.
“Security authorities are already on site carrying out the corresponding tasks, so the population is asked to give way to emergency units,” added Sánchez Beruben.”
