The municipality of Solidaridad, in the state of Quintana Roo, chaired by Roxana Lili Campos Miranda, organized the “Women in Sports” forum that took place on Saturday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leona Vicario Hall, at the new Municipal Palace.
Solidaridad Quintana Roo is home to great athletes, and today the challenges and scope are increasingly demanding and of great impact. The role of Mexican women is of great relevance and therefore, in search of sharing their experiences and motivating children and young people, this forum will be held.
There will be the participation of the Olympic legend Pilar Roldán, the first Mexican woman to win a medal in the Olympic Games, She won a silver in Fencing, in Mexico ’68.
Within the framework of the XXIII Ordinary Annual Congress of the Mexican Federation of Sports Writers (FEMECRODE), headed by Evencio Flores, which will be held in Playa del Carmen, the Municipal Sports Institute, directed by Amador Gutiérrez, has organized a forum with the participation of outstanding female athletes both nationally and internationally.
Among the participants is the selected Mexican speed skater Monserrat Ocampo, who has been a multiple champion in national championships and who recently won the bronze medal in the 1000 m sprint at the World Inline Skating Championships, which was held in Italy, and the gold in the Florida marathon, United States.
Andrea Vázquez, former LUX Fight League champion, will also be there, being one of the best Mexican mixed martial arts fighters.
Likewise, the national team member Swami Mostalac “BGirl”, who participated in the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, ranked among the eighth best on the continent. She is the current national Breaking champion and is in search of a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In the same way, the organizing committee invited Isis Breiter, an ultramarathoner who counts in her victorious repertoire having conquered the circuit of the 4 deserts, covering 250 kilometers in each one, being the first Latin American woman to achieve it.
