Traffic restricts the roads of Mazatlán that are already flooded by the rains left by “Norma”

Due to the rise in the rain level, traffic agents limit passage on avenues to preserve the integrity of people and avoid accidents, such as cars stopped in the middle of the water.

Mazatlán, Sin.- Due to the rains that occurred on Monday morning, the Municipal Public Security Secretariat through the Municipal Transit Subdirectorate restricted road traffic on some avenues in the city.

The objective, he explained, is to preserve the integrity of people and ensure that their vehicles are not damaged or stopped in the middle of the water.

Through an official statement, Juan Sergio Camacho Torres, deputy director of Municipal Transit, reported that in total there are six roads that are blocked to circulation, among them Camarón Sábalo and Tiburón avenues stand out, in the Zona Dorada; Internacional and November 20, in the Benito Juárez neighborhood; Marina in the El Toreo subdivision, and Rafael Buelna with the Marina, as well as the Ejercito Mexicano and Insurgentes.

He added that the Traffic personnel will remain in the places applying the prevention protocol, in addition to informing about the alternative routes to take for motorists.

In a tour that Línea Directa took along the boardwalk and the Zona Dorada, it was observed that the beaches continue to be closed to bathers and that urban transportation is operating normally, in addition to public services, such as Urban Toilets are working without setbacks.

There were also tourists enjoying the attractions of the port and Mazatlan residents who did not interrupt their usual physical activity on the boardwalk, despite the rains and strong winds brought by the tropical depression.
