The Campana Lager Fest will feature beer, music, gastronomy exhibitors, informative talks, and tours of the area.

In an event that promises to delight lovers of craft beer and Colima culture, the Secretariat of Economic Development through the Tourism Promotion Trust of the Undersecretariat of Tourism of the Government of the State of Colima in collaboration with the Colima Brewery and the Cervecería de la Costa are proud to present the first edition of La Campana Lager Fest. An exciting family festival will take place on November 17 and 18 in the majestic La Campana Ecological Park, a place that treasures the richness of the natural and cultural heritage of Colima.

With the intention of fusing the pride of being a craft beer-producing state with the history and music that characterize the region, La Campana Lager Fest promises to be a unique event that will celebrate the Colima identity in an exciting and attractive way for everyone.

It should be noted that Colima has emerged as one of the main producers of craft beer in Mexico, surpassing states such as Nuevo León and Mexico City. Its flagship beer, “Colimita,” has won countless national and international awards in the last decade, establishing itself as the most awarded Mexican lager beer and the most consumed Mexican label nationally as well.

What else about the Campana Lager Fest?

On the other hand, attendees will be able to taste the true flavor of the beach with the products of Cervecería de la Costa, a true jewel of Colima, which takes beach life as inspiration to give life to its beers. Their focus is on creating beers that are balanced, simple, and easy to enjoy anywhere, but that really shine when enjoyed by the sea. With labels such as “Bahía,” “Caleta,” “Costera,” “Lunada,” “Mareta,” and the special edition “500 Años,” created to commemorate the founding of Colima, this brewery captivates beer lovers with its beach spirit and its commitment to quality.

In this regard, the Undersecretary of Tourism of Colima, Jorge Padilla Castillo added: “We are very proud to have an event of this nature for the first time in our state and above all to hold it in an unbeatable setting such as La Campana. So he invited them to come and enjoy this great festival that brings together the best of the history and culture of Colima, and above all, they will realize why the state has become a benchmark for the craft beer industry.”

The festival focuses on lager beer, a style that adapts perfectly to the warm climate of Colima, being light and refreshing. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of high-quality craft beers from the region.

More than beer

But La Campana Lager Fest is much more than beer. The event is designed to celebrate the cultural and heritage wealth of Colima. The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) has granted permission for the festival to take place at the Campana Archaeological Site, and will also offer talks and cultural tours so that visitors can explore the history and heritage of the region.

In addition to beer and culture, the festival will feature an exciting musical lineup that includes bands such as Porter, Los Aguas Aguas, Fausto, Ingrid Guijarro, Neón de Luz, No Project Disco, Antiwa, Rosas, Luany-Lamar/Danbec, La Key 314, Eric Guazo and Mike Meev. These high-energy bands ensure that the atmosphere will be full of music and fun throughout the event.
