Kuntai Company, Tier 1 dedicated to the manufacture of luxury car interiors, and a prominent Tesla supplier, plans to establish its presence in Durango with an investment of 30 million dollars, creating 300 new jobs.

Kuntai Company, a leader in the automotive sector with a distinctive focus on the upstream and downstream industrial chain, is dedicated to the design, development, production and sales of soft interiors for vehicles. In addition, it holds the distinction of being a global supplier of automotive parts, with notable business partners such as Audi, Volvo, GM, Toyota, Nissan and BMW. However, it is its pivotal role as Tesla’s primary supplier that adds special value to this investment.

The products made by Kuntai Company, which beautify the interior of vehicles, include essential items such as carpets, inner and outer wheel covers, spare tire covers, as well as seat back engine cover plates, among others. This collaboration with Tesla, one of the most iconic brands in the automotive industry, underscores the excellence and quality of the products manufactured by Kuntai Company.

Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal himself was the host for the representatives of Kuntai Company, Zhang Ming (CEO) and Zhang Ming Di (Executive Vice President), during their recent visit to China. This meeting not only solidified the relationship between both parties, but also marked the beginning of a crucial investment in Durango.

Kuntai Company’s decision to establish itself in Durango is based on multiple advantages, including the availability of essential services such as water, electricity and natural gas. In addition, the strategic land connectivity from Mazatlán to the United States adds a vital component to the proposal. However, the greatest attraction lies in the clear intention of the State Government to encourage new investment and catalyze the economic development of the region.

With plans already underway, Kuntai Company is searching for suitable land to build its industrial warehouse and maneuvering yard in Durango. At the same time, it is preparing for the recruitment of 300 employees, ensuring the availability of well-paid and trained labor, which will have a positive impact on the local community.

The imminent arrival of Kuntai Company in Durango not only guarantees a significant flow of foreign direct investment in the state, but also initiates a strategic collaboration that will boost local industry and provide quality job opportunities. This venture promises to strengthen Durango’s position in the global economic landscape and pave the way for future investment. In a world in constant evolution, this alliance could be the key that accelerates the sustainable growth of the region.
