With the esplanade of the Guerrero Garden as the stage, the dance and aerial theater show “Walking in the Clouds” by the Italian company Studio Festi, amazed the hundreds of attendees who gathered at the formal start of the Querétaro Experimental International Festival 2023.

Starting this weekend and every Saturday until August 26, more than 110 local, national, and international artists, from disciplines such as theater, dance, music, and performing arts, will conquer the main public squares of the Historic Center of the capital and the delegations to make a difference in the promotion of art and culture, while promoting healthy family life in the City We Want.

As part of its inaugural program, the 2023 Querétaro Experimental Festival was attended by “Luka”, a Mexican jazz, funk, and electronic band, which performed on the stage of the Jardín Guerrero; followed by Dj Yasmin, from the UK.

While in the theater, in the Zenea Garden, the staging of “The Story of Your Life” by Las Bandijas del Palacio stood out, a company that is characterized by the spontaneous theatrical creation of stories collected from its own audience.

For children, starting at four in the afternoon the show Colibrí was presented at the Zenea Garden, by the Circo Clic company in collaboration with Nagare; and in terms of contemporary dance, the “Desabrazados” performed by Trashumantes were also presented at the Jardín Zenea.

In music, “Chico Trujillo”, one of the most original and representative orchestras of popular music in Chile, was in charge of closing the inaugural program with a show at the Jardín Guerrero in which he highlighted his combination of classical cumbia, bolero, Balkan rhythms, and Reagge.

In this 2023, from April 22 to August 26, the Querétaro Experimental International Festival will have more than 150 events, 60 percent of which will be led by local artists and will take place on stages such as the Zenea Garden and the Warrior Garden; and in the walkways of 5 de Mayo and Madero, in addition to the municipal delegations.
