MEXICO CITY, MEXICO.- On Monday, February 13th, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, declared during his daily morning conference that the media is against him and that a president has not been attacked the way he has been attacked by the press for more than one hundred years.

“Look at the campaigns, on the radio, on television, it had never been seen before. I hope this can be over soon, but we are talking about the attacks on the president that have not occurred in the Mexican press for 110 years, at least, ” AMLO said during his “Mañanera” on Monday.

He added that “since the times of President Madero, a president has not been attacked so much, by all the media, the majority. I can tell you that, quantitatively, 98 percent of the media is against the president.”

However, he said that “fortunately people no longer believe them,” because there is more awareness and Mexico is one of the countries with the least political illiteracy, so the people are “very difficult to manipulate.”

It is worth mentioning that this is like the twentieth time Lopez Obrador makes the same statement on one of his mañaneras.
