Mexico continues rescues in Turkey

Almost five days after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the Mexican rescue brigades have managed to pull three people alive from the rubble and free 11 bodies, reported the General Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González.

At the presidential conference, he reported that in Turkey there are 93 members of the Mexican Army, 37 from the Secretary of the Navy, 15 from the Red Cross and five from Foreign Relations. All of them organized in 30 hours to provide help.

On these facts, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador recognized the work of the Armed Forces and assured that Mexico was one of the first countries to arrive in Turkey. He stressed that they acted quickly because the Mexican Air Force is effective, they have the planes and personnel from the Defense, the Secretary of the Navy and the Red Cross.
