Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, criticized U.S. President Joe Biden, his American counterpart, on Thursday, December 22nd, for the way in which he welcomed Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine.
“Just yesterday, the president of Ukraine and my president arrived, who I appreciate, from the United States, and who also constantly tells me that we have to have a relationship on an equal footing, and puts on his Twitter, tells the president from Ukraine: ‘Welcome to America’ What happened President Biden, with all due respect, we are all America”, he complained.
He said that the continent includes Peru, Guatemala, and Belize, among others, and ways must be changed.
“I’m not saying that a president shouldn’t be welcomed, what I don’t like is the fashion. How welcome to America! Let’s start to change that, it’s: Welcome to the United States, welcome to Mexico, welcome to Peru “, he pointed out.
