Confrontation between army and armed civilians leaves two dead in Caborca, Sonora

A confrontation in the community of Caborca, Sonora, between soldiers of the Mexican army and alleged thieves left two dead.

Elements of the Mexican Army and a group of armed civilians staged a gunfight that left two suspected criminals dead, one detained and one soldier wounded in Caborca, Sonora.

According to local media, the events began when Mexican military elements located armed individuals at the address of 2nd Street and Avenues “K” and “L” in the Santa Cecilia neighborhood, who began to shoot, so they repelled the aggression.

More than 30 soldiers entered the home where the armed civilians were and two of the alleged criminals were killed, they also managed to arrest another civilian who was transferred in an armored National Guard van to the facilities of the Attorney General of the State of Sonora.

The confrontation lasted around 30 minutes.

Paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the military element who was wounded by a bullet.

Alex, a journalist from the digital media “Caborca ​​informs” was at the scene and broadcast the confrontation live.
