Registration is now open for a third dose of COVID vaccine for people over 40 years of age in Mexico: these are the requirements

Unexpectedly, the official vaccination site against COVID-19 in Mexico already allows pre-registration for people aged 40 and over. Previously, the Mexican government anticipated that people who not only belong to the group of older adults will receive a vaccine booster, but it did not give a start date for the vaccination or registration.

As has happened before, the steps are as follows:

  1. Enter mivacuna.salud.gob.mx
  2. Insert CURP in the block ” I am 40 years old or older and I request the vaccination booster “
  3. Once the captcha is resolved, click on ” confirm CURP “
  4. Then click on ” request vaccination reinforcement “
  5. A form must be completed with the date of the last dose, entity, municipality, telephone and mail
  6. Finally, the application receipt is downloaded, after obtaining the message that the registration has been successful
Vaccination Proof

The downloaded voucher is not an appointment to apply the vaccine, but rather a document to expedite the process for when the application of third doses to those over 40 years of age is officially announced. For now, to consider is that within a few minutes that the vaccination site was updated to allow the registration of people over 40 years of age, it has once again suffered failures and operates intermittently.

Educational personnel in Mexico will also receive booster doses. These are Moderna vaccines that will begin to be applied from January 8 to teachers who previously received doses of CanSino. The goal is to vaccinate 2.7 million teachers and educational personnel.
