There have been several expert companies in storage solutions that have proposed to invest, or have done so, in larger spaces and are working on their logistics reconversion, thanks to the boom that electronic commerce experienced after the pandemic, since it promoted the growth of new needs in the specialized winery market ”explained Daniel Narváez, Marketing VP of Lamudi.

The pandemic was quite a challenge. We did not have enough square meters for the demand of the Distribution Centers. AAA developer companies arrived and they rushed to build and they grew together with the clients at the same time, so the acceleration of the requirement of square meters was much greater and it was a great opportunity for the sector. There was a growth of up to 70% ”added María Fernanda Valencia, general director of Assad Industrial.

During the pandemic, markets such as Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, and Monterrey, as well as CDMX, Toluca, or Guadalajara saw an acceleration in the leasing of industrial and logistics warehouses in a short time.

In addition to space, companies are now demanding other features such as facilities or a type of infrastructure that allows connecting electric vehicle units that is also part of an operating trend that is on the rise.
