Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The Protexa company regretted the death of two people and four injured, due to the fire in one of its plants in Santa Catarina.

Four people who were injured were transferred to an IMSS clinic, where until now they have been reported out of danger.

“Company personnel are in contact with them and providing support to their families,” said Sergio Charles, director of Strategic Relations and Communication.

Preliminary data collected by the company’s Security area points to an instrumentation failure in a storage tank, which led to a sudden overpressure causing the incident.

The emissions that were observed during the fire have already been smothered.
