American in Merida found unconscious after crashing into a lamp post

The event was recorded shortly before 2 in the afternoon, the driver, a Versa vehicle with URP-711-H plates, was traveling on 37th Street between 58 and 60 in the City Center, when he was allegedly low on sugar which caused him to lose consciousness and the car to crash head-on into a post of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

The accident caused the area to be without electricity supply.

The driver of American origin was assisted by paramedics from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) and required to be transferred to a hospital, fortunately, there were no injured people, only large material damages.

Later a crane arrived at the site to remove the unit from the site.
