Santa Cruz Huatulco, Oaxaca.- Manuel Ramos, president of the Huatulrock race affirmed that this event is a projection for the tourist destination since the expectation with the arrival of national runners is estimated at 1,600 participants, that is, 800 per category.
The event to be held in the month of October is to promote sports, live together as a family, enjoy the beauty that Huatulco has for its beaches, and along with it enjoy Rock and roll.
He stressed that Huatulco has everything to enjoy and with this magnificent event, this tourist destination expands its recognition worldwide and will directly benefit the Autism Institute, as well as the restaurant, hotel industry, and everything that encompasses the tourism of the place.
He mentioned that Huatulrock was scheduled to take place in 2020, however, due to the Covid 19 pandemic it had to be postponed and thus be able to better organize the event, which together with the support of municipal authorities will take place from Friday 15 to 17 October 2021 and all the funds obtained will benefit the Autism Institute, the first and only clinic that the State of Oaxaca has in this beautiful place, because “Huatulco is a paradise.”
The Director of the race, Jorge Abdalá highlighted the guarantees for the participants of this activity, mainly security and anti-Covid protocols, and which is also endorsed by the National Athletics Federation; and with the expectations of participants, it is estimated that 3,500 people will arrive to visit the bays of Huatulco, and in that three-day stay, and economic benefit of fourteen million pesos is contemplated.
In addition, the profits obtained will benefit the Autism Institute and will continue to work hand in hand with the municipal president of Huatulco, Giovanne González.
They highlighted that on July 15 the call will be officially announced on social networks, in order to register and they will have specific places where participants can register, both in Huatulco and in the city of Oaxaca.
