Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – People with disabilities from the port of Mazatlán lived a unique experience this Saturday, when they were invited by the president of DIF Sinaloa, Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz to share the Inclusive Itinerant Beach program, in which for the first time some of they knew the sea.
Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz highlighted that this Social Recreation program for People with Disabilities is aligned with the inclusion model for a dignified life that DIF Sinaloa operates and in the coming months it will also be taken to other beaches in the state.
“Well, it is a way to give the opportunity to all people who do not have access facilities to have access to the beach, through this equipment designed by all the rules for them to enjoy this beauty of our seas, so We invite those who are interested to come to their Municipal DIF”.
Lorena, 29 years old, said that for 20 years she had not had the opportunity to enjoy the sea, its waves, for which she thanked Rosy Fuentes for implementing this inclusion program.
“It is the first time that I get into the sea from here in Mazatlán, after more than 20 years of living here, it has been a pretty good experience, a very nice opportunity, to have the possibility of entering the sea with unique devices to be able to enter to him, and well, I am happy to enter the SEA”.
Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz was accompanied by the president of the municipal DIF, Gabriela Peña Chico, and the director of DIF Sinaloa, Ulises Medrano Núñez, who entered the sea to carry out the recreational activity which was experienced with great joy.
Inclusive Beaches is a program in which different beaches in the state are visited that consists of bringing amphibious equipment: amphibious chairs for adults and children. Amphibious walkers and crutches are also carried, as well as life jackets that allow the beneficiaries to enjoy the sea safely.
The DIF System reiterates to all Sinaloan families its commitment so that all people have guaranteed their mobility and accessibility to the different public spaces.
