‘Enrique’ becomes a hurricane off the coasts of Colima and Michoacán

Tropical storm Enrique is expected to intensify to a category 1 hurricane on Saturday, June 26, so the authorities of the National Water Commission (Conagua) asked citizens to follow updates on the progress of the storm through sources officers.

According to the National Meteorological System, during the next hours, tropical storm Enrique will continue its movement parallel to the coasts of Guerrero and Michoacán; Therefore, there will be intense punctual rains accompanied by electric shocks and possible hailstorms in Colima, Guerrero, Jalisco, and Michoacán, as well as very heavy rains in the State of Mexico, Morelos, Nayarit and Oaxaca, and strong punctual rainfall in Mexico City. , Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Veracruz.

Wind gusts of more than 60 kilometers per hour are forecast, waves of 2 to 4 meters high, in addition to the probable formation of waterspouts in the coasts of Colima, Guerrero, and Michoacán, and of one to 2 meters of significant height the coastline of Jalisco.
