Guadalajara, Jalisco. An armed commando arrived at a restaurant bar in Jocotepec, next to Lake Chapala, and opened fire on a group of diners, killing five of them and leaving two more wounded.
Meanwhile, also on Sunday, May 9th, the bodies of two men and a woman were located next to the road in the municipality of San Cristóbal de la Barranca, while at dawn the murder of two men was reported in Ojuelos.
The first event that occurred this Sunday afternoon took place on the Guadalajara-Morelia highway, and despite the fact that it was in broad daylight and in a high traffic area, no people were reported detained or arrested. Authorities have not offered more details about the circumstances of the attack.
In San Cristóbal de la Barranca, near El Pueblito on kilometer 27 of federal highway 23, the location of three other dead bodies, one of them a woman, was reported at around 10:26 am.
Finally, and to add ten murders in less than 24 hours, in the municipality of Ojuelos two men died inside a billiard on Libertad Street in the center of town, both attacked with firearms.
