6.5 percent of children in Mexico have some disability, mental condition or limitation
Mexico. April 29, 2021.- According to the 2020 Population and Housing Census, 31.8 million girls and boys from 0 to 14 years old reside in Mexico, representing 25.3 percent of the total population.
Data from the 2020 report indicate that marriage and child labor increased in 2020 compared to 2010 in the country and currently, 6 out of every thousand girls between the ages of 12 and 14 have joined or married, and 122 out of every thousand boys and girls they work.

It indicates that 6.5 percent of children in Mexico have some disability, mental condition or limitation to walk, go up or down, see even with glasses, speak or communicate, hear even with a hearing aid, dress, bathe or eat, remember or concentrate.
In the case of the population with some limitation, disability or mental condition, the data is 52.2 percent.
It states that among the child population from 6 to 11 years old, 4 percent of those who speak an indigenous language and 4.3 percent of those who have some limitation, disability, or mental condition, do not have schooling.
44.8 percent of the population who speak an indigenous language and are between 12 and 14 years old have some degree approved at the secondary level, while among Afro-descendants and non-indigenous language speakers the figure is 56.0 and 56.9 percent, respectively.
Other indicators that were released are that the majority of girls and boys between 10 and 14 years of age are physically inactive, since only 12.5 percent and 17.9 percent, respectively, perform at least 60 minutes of physical activity moderate-vigorous seven days a week
