The federal official explained that the plan is to vaccinate a total of 9,128,769 people in this sector, a number determined by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) data.
Mexico will receive 3,310,840 doses of anti-Covid vaccines between April 28 and 30, according to Deputy Health Minister Hugo Lopez-Gatell.
“There are 2,10,840 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines coming from the United States in three shipments: 487,500 on Wednesday; 585,000 on Thursday and 938,940, on Friday April 30th. In addition, 800,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine will arrive in Mexico on Wednesday, April 28, and another half a million doses of the Russian biological will be delivered on Friday, April 30.

The authorities reiterated that the order that the vaccines will be administered does not depend on when people register, registration is only used to plan the strategy.
“Tomorrow the registration page will be opened to everyone from age 50 to 59, this according to the strategy defined by doctors about which places should be attended first, thinking about the availability of vaccines but we are going to start,” said President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
The President stressed that progress can be made in the national vaccination plan due to the fact that vaccines have been acquired over time. “We established contacts with laboratories that were testing vaccines, we entered into communication with them and began to establish contracts, deliver advances and the governments of Russia, China, India, the United States have helped us a lot. So they have allowed us to have a supply of vaccines,” he declared.
