Oaxaca, – Huatulco received the Platinum Beach certification for La Entrega, for its scenic beauty, environmental excellence, safety, facilities, signage with relevant information on each beach, and universal accessibility.
This certification is delivered by the Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification (IMNC), in coordination with governments of the three levels and the private initiative.
Its objective is to integrate and position Mexican beaches as a worldwide reference, as well as strengthen them in different essential axes such as infrastructure, security, services, cleanliness, and protection of the coastal ecosystem.
In order to obtain the certification, La Entrega beach has been kept free of waste, as well as permanently showing presence and vigilance on the beaches.
This is the first Platinum Beach in Oaxaca, however, Zipolite, in San Pedro Pochutla, is also in the process of obtaining this certification.
