Prosecutor’s Office secures three houses after shooting in Guadalajara’s Chapalita neighborhood


GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (April 19, 2021).- After the shooting that took place on the morning of Monday, April 19, in the Chapalita neighborhood of Guadalajara, three properties in the area were seized by the authorities.

The Jalisco prosecutor, Gerardo Octavio Solís Gómez, reported that in the first house, where the initial shooting was recorded, agents managed to rescue six people, although the body of another victim was also located at the site.

“The person who was found lifeless inside the home is a man. He is handcuffed, his face is bandaged. It is evident that this person was deprived of his liberty by these subjects. In the other two houses, men and women opened fire against the police,” Solís Gómez said.

The final balance of the operation is two suspects dead, one suspect seriously injured, six victims rescued and one person found dead, in addition to almost thirty detainees in possession of more than 40 firearms and Molotov cocktails, all the weapons were secured by the Jalisco Prosecutors Office.
