San Cristóbal de Las Casas.- In the framework of World Health Day, the personnel of the Health District II, based in San Cristóbal, expressed their appreciation for the preventive measures that the Police Directorate has taken, since at the Concluding the application of these tests, it was found that 100% of the elements attended had negative results for COVID-19.
The Municipal Police explained that since last year there is a sanitary filter in its facilities so that the operational and administrative personnel comply with all the sanitary provisions to avoid infections during their workday and when moving home.

He added that hygiene and healthy distance recommendations are disseminated daily -in Spanish and mother tongue-, in places with a high concentration of people, to have a greater impact among the inhabitants of other municipalities in the region, who daily market their products services in the city.

He highlighted the importance of this type of action, since it allows the timely detection of cases of undiagnosed asymptomatic carriers, with results within a few minutes, unlike the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) or Reaction in Polymerase Chain, in which the patient must wait a margin of 24 to 48 hours, which significantly reduces the risk of infecting other people.
