Vaccines arrive for older adults for Palenque and San Cristóbal de las Casas

The State Health Secretariat informs that this eighth batch will be distributed in the municipalities of Palenque and San Cristóbal de Las Casas

Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.- The state of Chiapas received this Monday a new batch of vaccines against Covid-19 to continue the protection of people over 60 years of age, which consists of a total of 27,600 biologicals.

The State Health Secretariat informs that this eighth batch will be distributed in the municipalities of Palenque (10,800 vaccines) and San Cristóbal de Las Casas (16,800 vaccines), where the vaccination of the older adult population will begin this March 16 from 8:00 am.

In the case of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, eight vaccination points will be set up to serve the population of the various neighborhoods and neighborhoods: 1) fair park, 2) Rural Hospital no. 1 of the IMSS Bienestar, 3) Hospital of the ISSSTE, 4) Technical Secondary School 80, 5) Faculty of Social Sciences of Unach, 6) Cecyt campus 20, 7) Children’s Coexistence Park and 8) School of Commerce and Administration.

The care process will be based on the first letter of the paternal surname. In such a way that on Tuesday, March 16, older adults whose paternal surname begins with the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H will be vaccinated; Wednesday corresponds to the surnames that begin with the letters I, J, K, L, M, N, O and P; and on Thursday it will touch the surnames with the letters Q, R, S, T, V, X, Y and Z.

While in the municipality of Palenque, the vaccination strategy is based on the installation of five modules to serve the elderly population: 1) Jurisdictional Vaccination Center (Los Pinos neighborhood), 2) Technical High School no. 10 (Periférico norte s / n), 3) CBTA 45 (Pakal-na highway s / n), 4) ejido San José Babilonia 2nd section and 5) ejido Lic. José Castillo Tielemans.

It is recalled that the COVID-19 vaccine will be applied exclusively to people over 60 years of age, who must present the registration folio with which they registered on the platform, or, the voter’s credential or some identification official.

Likewise, it is recommended that they arrive with breakfast, hydrated and with their medicines digested; and be accompanied by a single person.

In addition to following the basic prevention measures: use a mask, keep a healthy distance and use alcohol gel.
