Health Unersecretary Hugo López-Gatell has been hospitalized since Wednesday, Feb. 24th.
Authorities from the Ministry of Health said that the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, has been admitted to the Citi-Banamex Temporary Hospital since last Wednesday, where he receives treatment for COVID-19.
Ruy López Ridaura, from the General Directorate of the National Center for Preventive Programs and Disease Control, revealed that the undersecretary is very well and pointed out that it is false that he had a more serious condition.
Ruy López said that he “required a treatment of the state of a moderate Covid already with oxygen requirement and that is why his medical team evaluated the possibility of an early hospitalization with monitoring and treatment”, in that place.
Hugo López-Gatell tested positive since last February 20th.
A few days ago, José Luis Alomía, director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, said that it was directly the undersecretary who commented that he is practically asymptomatic.
“He no longer has signs and symptoms of COVID-19, obviously he must still continue to be observed and in clinical and epidemiological follow-up, his saturation is already at 97%,” said the director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health.
It is worth mentioning that López-Gatell reported since Saturday, February 20, that she tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, so he would be kept in isolation.
