In the San Miguel Adventure Park there are walks, zip lines and suspension bridge over a natural canyon, horseback riding, bike and ATV routes, balloon rides and camping experiences.

2 Horseback riding at sunset

If you want a magical day of fresh air, nature, spectacular views from the top, streams and a dreamy sunset, get on a horse and go slowly through the Cañada de la Virgen. Coyote Canyon Adventures offers true adventures (not just short rides): long horseback riding, camping, bonfires, races, complete excursions in one of the most precious natural areas in the state (and even on the streets of San Miguel de Allende).

3 Mojigangas 62 (Casa Mojigangas)

This is the workshop of Hermes Arroyo, one of the most important artists in San Miguel Allende, recognized for his work in cardboard (he has even exhibited his pieces in the Vatican). Here mojigangas (giant cardboard dolls) are made that are used for alleys and state festivities. The fun thing is to take the cardboard workshop to make your own crafts, it lasts four hours and is private per group and with prior reservation.

The gastronomic scene in San Miguel Allende is buoyant, with a varied offer of local fine dining . Two of the most recognized places will also take you to know two of the best hotels in Mexico, awarded by Condé Nast Traveler in 2019 and 2020: Hotel Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende (2019) and Hotel Rosewood (2020).

Hotel Live Aqua has two restaurants, but the main one is Zibu Allende, with food designed by chef Eduardo Palazuelos. The proposal is a mix of Mexican and Thai cuisines, with an assortment of fish and seafood.

Panio has become a must-see when you go to San Miguel de Allende, as it is perhaps the best place to go for bread and coffee – or a full breakfast. This bakery was founded by Alberto Laposse, third generation of Italian bakers. Everything here is handmade, with European techniques and outstanding quality. There are breakfasts and meals Also, you can take souvenirs: jams, cinnamon rolls, shells, chocolates, etc. Or, enjoy their breakfasts: sandwiches, omelettes, chilaquiles, toast or a bread roll with coffee.

6 Where to sleep

To rest and not leave the city center much, go to Hotel La Morada. This is located just a few steps from the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and the Jardin Allende. At the La Morada hotel, each room has the necessary amenities: coffee maker, smart TV , fireplace and air conditioning. A great option if you are looking for a hotel to rest comfortably, for a great value for money.
