Héctor Astudillo’s government has invested significant resources to improve the urban and tourist image of this beach binomial.
Due to the fact that important resources have been invested in the administration of Governor Héctor Astudillo Flores to improve the tourist infrastructure of this municipality, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo was nominated in the Best City in the World and Best Hotels in the World categories in the World’s Best Awards 2021 from Travel + Leisure magazine
Travel + Leisure magazine conducted an online survey, where its followers indicated that the six best hotels in this part of Guerrero are: Las Brisas Ixtapa, Cala de Mar Resort & Spa, La Casa Que Canta, Thompson Zihuatanejo, Quinta Troppo and The Villa Luz Zihuatanejo. During the government of Héctor Astudillo Flores, the urban and tourist image of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo has grown exponentially.
Proof of this is the comprehensive rehabilitation of the pier, as well as the recovery of the Paseo del Pescador and the construction of the Ciclovía.
But it also highlights its natural beauties on the beaches: La Ropa, Playa Larga; Varadero Beach, El Palmar, Las Gatas, Quieta Beach, Barra de Potosí, La Saladita, La Madera, Linda Beach, Zihuatanejo Main Beach, Cuachalalate Beach and Contramar Beach.
