“El Profe” regional leader of the CJNG arrested in Morelos

In an operation led by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), with the support of the Mexican Navy Secretariat (Semar), the arrest of Irving N (aka “Profe”), and Fernando “N”, the second leader in command of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), was achieved in the metropolitan area of Cuernavaca, ​​Morelos.

At 8:00 a.m., federal agents entered a home located on 20 de Noviembre Street in the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood, on the edge of Temixco and Cuernavaca, where the subject was arrested.

In addition, during the operation the seizure of vehicles, weapons and drugs that were inside the home was achieved.

Irving “N”, also known as “el Profe” or “el Gato”, who has been identified as the alleged head of the CJNG plaza in Morelos, was also detained during this operation.

He already had criminal records, because before being the leader of the criminal organization in the area, he had been arrested for the first time in June 2010 by the Federal Police.

Before beginning his criminal career and becoming part of organized crime, Irving “N” joined the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Morelos (PGJEM) on July 27, 2000, as a ministerial police officer of the Homicide Investigation Group. He worked in that position until January 8, 2005.
